Scratch Day 2011

Dozens of young, creative designer-programmers from throughout the Midwest met at the Club-hosted 2011 International Scratch Day event, sharing their work and collaborating in the creation of new games, digital stories, simulations and applications. Game Design Club event

Game programmer Josh Criz (upper row, 3rd from left) and game artist Rachel Nador (upper row, 2nd from left) visited the Game Design Club and talked about their experience working as members of digital design teams. We were also joined by Jeff Sweeton (upper row, 2nd from right) of the Intel Computer Clubhouse in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood, and Seth Larsen (upper row, right), technology coordinator for the Howard Area (Chicago) Community Center.



Ricarose Roque

Ricarose Roque of Project GUTS, lead developer of StarLogo TNG and a member of the MIT Media Lab's Scratch team visited with the club to offer a StarLogo workshop, and returned to take part in our 2010 Scratch Day program. (bio)
